THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: OT: Family news

Hi,

I don't normally do this type of OT, but this is a big weekend for me and I'd just like to share this with you guys cause you feel like an extension of my family.

My daughter Jessica is graduating this Sunday from Cornell University. After that she's going to Colorado to rock climb, live in a tent and all that good kid stuff. Hopefully she will discover along the way what she wants to go to a grad school to study. She's had a hard time all through high school and college figuring out what avenue she wants to pursue.

Happy Proud Mom,
Angela

Wish her all the luck. I´m 36 years young and I still haven´t figured out what I´ll do when I grow up. Sometimes that can be annoying but It also helps you to keep an open mind regarding all of lifes oppurtunities.

Conga rats to your daughter Angela...high school for me was something I never did finish...my hair was *too long in '65* for them to allow me to *even be in school*...LOL, and my college was a street version so let her know she's already finished a part some never are allowed to, but it gets easier once you start payin' your own bills to deciede on a career...LOL...whatever pays the most bux, but enjoy the time 'tween college and then as you're only young once...well twice it seems for me as at 60-ish I'm entering my 2nd childhood...LOL..hopefully I won't have a 2nd puberty....that was hellish, *heh heh heh.. ...*

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Online Now!

Congratulations to your daughter and you!  I wished I had taken a year  or six months after hs graduation to just chill. Instead, I went to college summer school  2 weeks after graduating hs. I took an easy course: Philosophy : Comparative Religions. It was exciting for me as an ex-high schooler. I did alright. Got an A and impressed the professor with my paper. Better than the college seniors that were in the same class... LOL

But to your daughter, I say, "ROCK ON!!!" Go ahead and start climbing. Just be careful when you do.

Congrats! No need to say you a vry proud mom now. That break she's taking will do her good..gt her to think lots of what she wants inlife. it's her future after all that she'll be making.
All the best to her and may she make a wise choice.

Congrats! Dont worry bout the lack of ideas on what to do next. Almost every student has that these days. She'd probably do best to look around what various colleges and studies have on offer and choose something that best fits her perosnal interests. Usually it'll just evolve From there :-)

Thanks! Last night we went to Cornell Traditions Senior recognition and she was one of 11 students selected for an award. I hope my pictures came out good. My regular computer died, (hopefully it's just the powersupply) so I haven't been able to view the pics yet. Today is another special event and tomorrow is the big day.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Angela

That's wonderful Ang, I hope my granddaughter Jessica does as well.

I wish now that at your Jessica's age, I'd payed more attention to what interested me as well as what I was told would pay the most and lead to a steady job.  With hindsight I'd say try to balance the head with the heart.
