Subject: Weird texture error - help?

Hi, I'm not quite sure what's going on here, but when I try to render certain textures, this odd grid pattern shows up. I have no idea what it could be. I tried turning off raytracing, but that didn't work and it's the limit of my expertise when it comes to these things. Anyone know what this could be?

Did you try turning off texture filtering ofr the material? That often does weird things like this.

Here is a link to a bagginsbill response to a slightly different problem, but it tells you somehting about texture filtering, when to use it and when not....

Aargh, damn, now I feel bad... the problem's back again. You'd think texture filtering would work, given that link, but yea... the checker pattern is still there. Any other suggestions? =/

Nevermind! I turned off bump mapping and light refraction, that did the trick. Thanks for your help, IsaoShi.
