Subject: Separate process renderer VS normal renderer

I just noticed this. Absolutely same scene looks slightly different when rendered "normally" then when rendered with separate process. Shadows are slightly different.

Also if you try motion blur differences are getting bigger. First is "normal" renderer, second pic is separate process renderer.

Has someone else noticed this or is this just my poser acting up? This was rendered in Poser Pro.

Are you running a 64 bit OS? That might account for the differences. If you don't use a separate process, the 32 bit Firefly engine is used, while the standalone 64 bit Firefly kicks in when you render to a separate process. There may be a difference between the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of Firefly, especially when it comes to the precisions of numbers.

Ah, now I see I made a mistake. First pic is from separate process renderer, and second is from normal render. First pic has s in it's name, second has n.

Yes, OS is 64bit. I just tried it with P7, same behavior. It would make sense that 64bit render has different output, but it's actually less in quality then integrated 32bit renderer. Shadows and motion blur is more grainy with FFRender.exe, they're more smooth with normal renderer.
