Subject: Need Poser Animator

moomsicle ( ) posted Sun, 01 June 2008 at 11:55 AM · edited Thu, 12 December 2024 at 9:30 AM

I have a project in production and am seeking animator(s) who can animate in POSER.  Let me know if you're interested and/or if you know a proficient POSER animator.

what is the etymology of "moomsicle"?

tell 'em what the project is, how many hours (approx.), and what they'll need
in regard to figures, cr2 files, hr2 files, props, bvh files et al.

Moomsicle is a term of endearment given to me by my children.

My company has been in the Film/Video/Animation/Web Production business for more than 25 years.  We recently developed an Animated Series for which we've completed several Episodes.  We are in the process of finding Animators who are familiar with POSER, as our main characters are already developed.  The Animator(s) we are seeking will work in POSER to create keyframes, poses and gestures, and life-like movement for the characters.  We'd like one animator to be proficient in animating facial expression. We will discuss the specifics with Animators we select to join our team.

Animators should use Poser 6 (or greater). If you use 3DSMax and/or MAYA and have the software plugins that allow successful POSER rigging of characters in these software programs, we may also consider you.

The first step for us is to view samples of your Poser animation

Thanks for your interest.

Our website is being developed over the next couple of weeks.  We are hoping to hire animators asap to continually supply progamming once we "go live".   There is NO NUDITY and it is **NOT **an ADULTS ONLY site.

o.k., moom, they can do facial expressions, as they can purchase expression paks for
various daz characters.  I can't specifically recommend anybody as a facial expression
animator, but i would suggest getting their quotes on how many hours per item, then
offering $5 per hour to somebody with the right morph pak, but limited portfolio. offer
$20 per hour to whatever rara avis has both a good portfolio and all the necessary
expression paks.  if they haven't got the necessary morphs, i would pass on that.

You know what. If you have been in the business for 25 years, how come there is no website?

And the way you post your invitation, so incomplete that I have to ask alot of questions...

I don't feel safe on this. Very suspicious. How can we be sure that you are a legitimate business?

If someone offered me $5 per hour, I'd tell them to sling it, thats £2.50 here, which is way under our minimum wage of £5.25.

$20/£10 would a fairer wage for someone with limited poser skills. Someone with Max/Maya skills would certainly be looking for £25-30 [$50-60] an hour at least.

No disrepct to moomsicle either, but like The Owl says they are going to want a little more company info than one sentence.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

Thank you to all of the talented artists who sent me a link to view their work!  We've completed our search for new animators for our production team!

Wow, you selected already?

That was pretty fast.

I am an animator as well, hope you realize the long hours that are going to go

into a render?

Good luck.
