Subject: move all lights

What do I have to do when I want to move all lights from a scene at the same time (and the same degree)?
Python script?
Parenting?

  1. Load a box prop (or any other type of prop)
  2. Parent all lights to the box prop.
  3. Make the box prop invisible.
  4. Move the box prop to move all the (parented) lights with it.

P.S. Parenting is easy if you use the Hierarchy Editor (HE).  Check the square  box in the HE to "Show Lights"and then click & drag the light(s) to the box prop to parent the light(s) to the box prop.  A light is parented to the box prop when the box prop has a white rectangle around it.

Just parent your lights to a) the main light, or b) to an invisible prop.

The latter is perfect to "twist" your whole illumination, if you place the prop exactly to the center of your scene.

wow..Doc's got a whole new look. Handy idea. The box bit is also good for having figure's eyes move around to look at specific points.
