If I can get some free time before work tomorrow I'll happily see what I can whip up too.

I'm just happy that now I have an excuse to neglect the project I've been working on for months, rather than just ignoring it and wishing it were finished. :rolleyes: ( I kinda bit off a great big chunk of a project for someone just learning C6's modeling tools) :lol:

BTW. That bump map you made for the suit is amazing! I had some minor doubt when I looked at it in an image editor, but it works so well with the suit however you've got it UV mapped. It's also quite versatile. I've been using it as other things to set up some interesting shaders that I hope to send you some renders of later tonight.

Yeah, if there are little glitches and fixes, email me, or post in the OKC Randy's beta forum.
Probably better to post there, so Randy can read it too - and see if any of it is rigging related.

We'e still early in rigging, and especially in texturing process, that  I expect there are glitches to iron out. It's all part of the process.

If anyone is curious about the bumpmap and the texture, the base map was made with help of Filter Forge, and then used to paint the textue in Deep Paint and Photoshop.

I did find a few little issues, but as the email says, I'm not sure yet that they're not being caused by C6. I hope to be able to play around with it more this weekend and if I figure anything out, I'll post it over at OKC.

I tell you though, for an early stage item, I'm already really impressed with it so far. You're gonna make a lot of people happy when this comes out.

Backups... ahem  not really....  I didn't plan on physically losing a hard drive.
But a lot of the stormchaser outfit is on Randy's FTP as well.

There's still about 30-40 unpacked boxes sitting around, it's in there somewhere.  I'm missing a big wad of computer cables too - that tells me there's a box somewhere....

I haven't had much opportunity to do more lately either. One of my co-workers had a heart attack, and even though were overstaffed, he was a third shift guy so it's a shuffle game to get things covered.

They took the hard drive and some cables, dropped them on my office chair, and then wheeled the chair all the way out to the garage. I stopped them just in time, before they wheeled it out and across the street to the neighbors house!

I actually managed to get my honey and everyone's homework booted out of the office. Kids have their own rooms, and a setup in the dining room for that!

But, there's still construction going on in the house. I'm hoping this is the last week. Then we can move into the bedroom and the bathroom too. They said they'll be done tomorrow... cross my fingers!

5 or so weeks of staying at hotels - I'm worn out. Plus I lose 2-4 hours of work a day going between. My best work time is in the evening when everyone else is dozing off and watching TV. Then i can roll off to bed when I'd done. My evenings are shot staying at the hotel, and part of the mornings too.

wooo... looks like they're done with construction, we can move back in the bedroom and bathroom. 

Starting to get back on track with the outfit finishing too.

Glad everything's getting sorted at home now Connie. The only stress I want you to have is with the outfit!
Only kidding, looking forward to some new updates.

I agree with Stormy. As I found out, even though this was designed to be like the Aeon Flux dark outfit, it really looks very nice with all sorts of color schemes.

Has Randy started rigging the boots and holster yet?

I'll have both textures in there, so you guys can pick and choose :)

Rand6y is rigging .. still. Actually I should say Again. I made him redo the rigging on the bodysuit because I needed to make some mesh and UV revisions. Long story.

Yes, that's stitching you guys see. My poor claws, good thing they're sharp, leather is tough to stitch through!!!  ;)

By the way, last few pics and this one are poser shaders. I may tweak them a little bit before they are packaged up, but probably not much. If you have comments about the tweaks to this shader, now is the time to speak up.

I'm calling this one CharcoalStorm texture set.

I'll be making others, at least one more, but more likely two or three others.

I'd like to include cararra shaders too (Joe, I may need some advice on that)

BTW, do you pretty much have your UV's set now? And should I go ahead and do away with the stuff you sent to me before?

I have the UV's buttoned down. I'll have to send you new OBJ's. Better yet, I'll post them in our beta forums :) - tomorrow.  It's almost bedtime here ;)

I don't dare to estimate release dates, but I can tell you that probably 75% of the project is complete.
Things that are left to do:

• wrap up the rigging and make another texture or two - about two weeks or less
• Beta testing and incorporating coments - 2 weeks
• Rendo testing -  two weeks.
  Maybe a little less.

My "forced house remodel" is over, so I'm hoping things will move faster. I hope those are not 'famous last words' LOL

Eh... I was all ready to make more textures, and now I'm all of a sudden out of ideas!
Help!

I may have to make couple of shiny procedurals just to get them out of my system.

just a quick comment: if you're going to make shiny materials, it might be good to read bagginsbill's posts about the fresnel effect at RDNA.  i realize those all involve glass and metal, but i'd guess that you could adjust them to apply to patent leather or pvc.
