Subject: billyt's red sandals

maki_82 ( ) posted Wed, 11 June 2008 at 10:40 PM · edited Fri, 31 January 2025 at 2:08 PM

Hi! I got billyt's red sandal set a while back and I noticed a curious error. I could load all the different sandals in DAZ except the V3 7in heel. I loaded it in poser and it works just fine. When I try to load it in daz, it opens up the dialogue window and tries to search for the .obj file and doesn't find it. Anyone have this problem? It's only this specific pair of shoes, not the other types included in the package.

I have this once in a while in Poser.

Try copying the .obj name from the dialog screen and paste it in windows search.

Run search and it should show you the file path.

Follow the file path in the dialog screen and voila, it should load properly now.

I am not a complete idiot, some parts are missing :)

Sounds as a error in the sandal set.

Try to reinstal the sandal set.

If no joy, redownload the set and reinstal.

Still no joy, contact the seller/modeler of the set.

Your welcome.

If it is a error in the set I would for sure contact the creater so he/she can look into it and fix the error.

In case anyone is interested, I think I found the problem. Turns out there is an extra colon in the .cr2 file for this particular shoe. I figured that out by comparing the .cr2 for this shoe and one of the others that loads okay. Just open up (using Notepad or Wordpad) the "V3 7inc Spikeheel.cr2" file under content/runtime/libraries/character/Red Sandal. Notice that at the very top of the file, in the first "figureResFile" line, at the very end there is a hanging colon ("...Shoes:RedSandal:V3_Red_7Spike.obj: "). Just delete the colon, save, and you're good to go.
