This aircraft TOTALLY modelled and rendered in Bryce 4 using the terrain editor, with some custom textures based on the 3d model made in photoshop. Power of the old good Bryce, power of lattice modelling! :)

The plane is a  Horten Ho XVIII A.
It was a proposed German World War II intercontinental bomber that would have been based upon the Horten Ho 229 design. Like the Ho 229, it would have retained the stealth capabilities of the previous design, as well as a large fuel capacity, which would allow it to fly across the Atlantic Ocean both ways without refueling.
The A model of the Ho XVIII was a long, smooth blended wing. Its six jet engines were buried deep into the wing and the exhaust centered on the trailing end. The flying wing was made of wood and carbon based glue, making it a stealth aircraft.

You can take a look also to a fake picture of the Horten here:

Thoughts on lattice modelling in Bryce are welcomed! :)

Excellent example of lattice and terrain power using Bryce. I just love using them.

P.S. fantastic work on this model.

Beautifully done...the Cardinal will be well pleased.. ...

Sorry to everybody for my late answer! Here is the whole WIP process in 1024x758. I hope that the image can answer to many questions. Bisides the pilots and the gunners inside the cockpits, all is done using terrain lattice modelling and Bryce primitives. The final model of the aircraft is a little bit different from the plans, but the plans was taken for a sketch made by Horten brothers during WWII. I've made some adjustament to the shape of the plane to make it more realistic in terms of ergonomy. More questions are welcomed! :)

Here is a shot of a formations of Messerschmitt Me P 1112 WWII jet fighter. The model is taken from an original blueprints by Messerschmitt and it's made in Bryce using the same techniques of the Horten Ho XVIII A (see the post above). The plans for this fighter was approved and would have been ready for mass production around the first months of 1946. WWII in Europe ended on december 1944. The Me P 1112 along the Me P 1110 "Ente" and the BMW Flugelrad (a flying disk powered by a single jet engine) will be soon on my Renderosity shop in the same files package.
