Subject: Covering an ENTIRE object with ecosystem

I am making a maypole for a friend and have to cover the object i made with an eco of grass and flowers,problem is it is only covering the top or the object.I layed it down and painted it and it looked nice,but when i moved it into proper position the eco stayed.Whats the secret...

Paint using the material editor paint button, not the top tool bar paint icon.

Sorry it took me so long to reply,my internet went down. this is cool,I never thought that the paint tab in the editor would make a difference so I never used it.And since i am not a manual reader...:D Thank you Peggy,you have helped me out a great deal. On many many projects in fact,present and future:D
