I suddenly stopped getting newsletters and asked about it. Karen said that I wasn't subscribed to the newsletter, which was news to me because I had been getting them and then they stopped.
Anyway, she said for me to go into "Members" and "My Profile" and turn on "receive emails" at the bottom. I looked and sure enough it was set to "no". Which was strange because I never go to that area so I don't know how it came to be set to "no".
Perhaps if you check that area it might be your problem too? Though, I was still getting gallery notifications about comments while I wasn't getting the newsletter. But it's worth a look.
I find that with the site revamp that there are just too many places to look to turn things on and off. I think it should be more streamlined where we only have to go to one location to turn things on and off. It's way to confusing the way it is now.

I suddenly stopped getting e-bots yesterday, too. I checked in the gallery this morning, scanning for comments relating to the subject, and I see a few other people are having the same problem. I'm getting other e-mail okay - just not from Renderosity.
This is NOT about receiving the newsletter - it's just about e-bots!
No notices that people have commented on my work (although I got several comments overnight) and no notices that my favorite artists have posted work (and I see many of them have).
Any information available on this problem?

I just checked my mail - still no e-bots.
Based on the number of comments I got on my last image, and how many of my friends have posted new work, I should have gotten somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 or more e-bots since last night, but ... right now the count is zero.
Also no notes that anyone replied to this thread - I just checked it when I got home to see what was going on.
I remember last time Renderosity made changes to the e-bot notification system the new address was automatically blocked on my Hotmail account, but that doesn't appear to be the case this time - there's nothing in my junk folder.
Any helpful hints?
Oh btw - my site mail is working just fine. :)

**I was going to say something about that "block", too.
My roommate got the notice that I uploaded, but Hotmail Live would not provide the link because, and these re the words used in hotmail,
"This could be harmful to your computer", then gave her some link about it not passing the Security ID test and a phishing test.

A mailing about the 4th July sale has gone out today, which may be disrupting ebots.

Still nothing. This appears to be beyond "disrupted" in scope. In the past 24 hours I've received over 40 comments on my latest image and received zero comment notifications. E-bots aren't slow, like when a broadcast newsletter is going out, they're nonexistent. I have e-bots sent to an address that's pretty much reserved just for RR, so I tested it to see if it was my e-mail account that was the trouble, but the test went through immediately. Apparently there's a problem from Renderosity's end.

Have you received ebots for other areas of the site (e.g. responses to this thread)?

I've not had comment notifications for a few days, plus no notifications of favourite artists posting either.
I checked my profile and it was set to 'yes' as expected.
I get other mail as normal from other sources so I know my email is working.
In response to Karen's question:
No, I'm not receiving notification that anyone has added anything to this thread, or any other Forum threads I am participating in. (And yes, I have the "notify me when someone replies" box checked.) I posted another image last night, and so far have more than 25 comments, but still zero e-bots, so the problem continues.
Re: last time this happened:
Like Lynn, I checked with my e-mail provider (hotmail) when I was getting blocked content, and they said it had to do with third party servers or something, having to do with the way RR was sending e-mail. However, that problem cleared itself up in a day or so and I didn't have any more trouble with it at all.
Thanks for your help!

i have the opposite : i told it NOT to email me every time a fav artist uploads... but it does anyway. i checked settings and i'm set to NO...
oh, and i find it funny when i thanked someone for leaving a comment i got a 'somebody left you a comment' notice... from ME, lol.
i can live with these... just noting them is all ;)

I'm not getting any gallery ebots to say comments have been left on my work. I'm wondering if Ive accidentally clicked it off or one of my kids but I can't find the place you go to in my settings doh.... is there a problem with the ebots or is it me?
