Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 08 9:27 am)
Remember Quality.....quality....quality.....!
Next - an original idea is always the best....research.
Go to the wish forum, find out what others are asking for.
Don't steel from others, keep it originally from you.
One more thing....don't always count your time as part of the cost you place on a product. You will find you put alot more time into something then what you can really charge for it.
Don't take critisism personally.
Does that help? Sharen
its like sams3d says..
But Original items ... some think doing the 10..000's texture set for a sexy cop outfit is Original..
When thats what you have in mind with "original" then your cake is thin sliced...
When you have real quality Original things .. you can have a cool new hobby...
I say Hobby because living from it .... that dream is long gone for everybody
One thing to check if you are making things people want is make some Freebee's
and see if they get used in render in the Poser community...

IF YOU WANT TO CONTACT BAR-CODE SENT A PM to 26FAHRENHEIT "same person"

In addition to what others said....
Read the marketplace submission and other guidelins thoroughly. There's a lot of good info written on rendo pages.
Also, be patient, and listen to what the rendo staff are saying or asking you to do (if there is feedback on your product)
The hardest part can be being in tune with what customer trends are.
Also, your sales will not only depend on your product, but on how it's presented and what kind of reputation you're building. People feel more at ease buing something they want from someone with good reputation for product quality and customer service.

Get a reputation by providing quality freestuff first, with good support. That'll help enormously.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
Expect quite a long wait in getting your stuff through testing and into the marketplace. From what I understand from a partner of mine on a recent project the rule here is not first come first serve. As I understand it though, if you sell the item exclusively here it gets a little bump up on the list.
That project was submitted in I believe early April. Afaik it is still not in the store here. It's been up in another store since a week after submission. Of course it's probably worth the wait here, more potential customers will see your product - I just think it helps to know you will be waiting for quite a while.

April?? There isn't anything in the backend that has been sitting since April. The current review time can be up to 10 days, and possibly longer depending on the circumstances, but I have never seen anything sit there for 2 months.

I believe it has gone in and come out a couple different times due to some strange payment rules. Apparently that resets the Q point : ( I can't see right now but I do hope I said "originally submitted".
Hopefully in short order here I will have some positive feedback regarding this process as well ; )

Hello,
I am looking at developing some original content for Poser for sale on Renderosity. I've had the chance to read over the marketplace policies, and I'm interested in getting some advice from the Poser merchants in the Renderosity community on what they have found are the best practices for marketing, customer service, and working with the fine people at Renderosity.
Any and all advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all comments and suggestions.
