Subject: Order 111424002 Corrupt zip files

Hi there,
I bought the the Bride Dress for Victoria 4 today.  I had a couple of issues with the order.  First, I put in that coupon code for 10% but I still got charged for the full (sale?) price.  Then after downloading the file twice, both times it will not complete unzpping BECAUSE it keeps giving out bac "CRC" errors and even with skipping them, the process finally aborts.

Help!

As stated, downloaded twice, tried unzipping on 3 computers - no luck! 

FWIW, also of late have been experiencing difficulty viewing pictures in Marketplace and sometmes gallery, i.e., they display correctly about halfway down but then look like a negative of themselves.  Has been happening since the day server was changed.  Can't think of any other changes, all my setup same as ever.

Anyway, PLEASE fix this order for me - paying job, small, but paying.  Thanks.

Hi Larry,

It looks like you might not have hit the "apply" button when entering the coupon code.  I'll have Kristi issue a credit back for the coupon discount in the morning.

I've reset your downloads so that you can try again.  I've downloaded the zip and confirmed that it is not corrupt.

Hi Debbie,
Well thanks so much - but it hasn't made any difference  Any PC I try to install I get errors, first "bad CRC 1997b914 (should be f8794eab)" followed by others every couple of files in the archive.  Funny thing, too, it actually installed in Poser 7 BUT nothing happens when you click on the thumbnails to insert the figures into the scene.

And there is that problem of some pictures not displaying correctly when I'm in the Marketplace the last week or so. 

Have restarted 2 PCs, same issue.  ? ? ?  So I went over to a couple of other vendor sites and downloaded some things I had bought.  Not a problem. 

? ? ?

Larry, I think it may have to do with the IP switches recently, but I'm not fully "up to snuff" on that techy stuff.  I'll try to get a better answer for you.

Also, I just noticed something on my Poser 7 PC. Very strange.

I can't see this box that houses the "body" of messages on that PC anymore today.  So I can't reply to anything on it and even with starting a new thread there is NO BODY to type this stuff in. 

Like I said, very strange.  Again, went to 2 other places, made test messages, no problems.  Must be some arcane and obscure setting is awry.  Perhaps you could ask your techies about that., too.

You're so welcome.  This may in fact not be a Rosity problem.  I have downloaded a few previous purchases in the interim and NONE of the zips present without errors.  This is on 2 of the 3 PCs I have, so I may have an infection of some kind or other, though I "Live" behind a fortress, so to speak. 

Chances are not likely ALL these files are corrupt BUT files from other places are not showing that yet, at least the 3 or 4 I have downloaded haven't.  I did go wireless about a week ago, but I've still downloaded stuff, just not from here. 

Please let me know.  All this hopping around from PC to PC is annoying, LOL!

Hi Debbie M (or whomever)
So, after a several hour hiatus I can now see the "Reply" box on the PC that was having difficulty.  I still am not able to unzip anything on either of the PCs available to me.  I get CRC errors on all zips I download from Renderosity. 

If you have any information about this, please let me know.  I will have a tech come in and look at my machines as soon as I can.

PLUS:  I STILL didn't get to use the Bride Dress thingy I just bought and now after downloading again and again, I have received the dreaded "Downloads exceeded" message.  Can you again reset that so I can try again? (And again and again, LOL).
