Subject: How to create interesting underwater atmosphere?

speters1 ( ) posted Sat, 28 June 2008 at 6:36 AM · edited Sat, 07 December 2024 at 8:44 PM

I am fairly new to Vue 6 but I have been reading some tutorials but I have not found any that  really go into any detail on how to create and interesting under water scene? THe kind that has light rays coming through. Also, I want to be able to put the camera right at the waterline, so that the top of my image will be above the water and part below. But I also would like the water line to have a little motion so that it is not a perfectly straight line. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

There's a tute at he above links for the second part of what you want to do, as for light rays coming through the water, Vue comes with a sample file for that, load it in and see how it's done, that's how I learned, from the sample files!!

Not sure if you've seen their tutorials yet or not, but I suggest going over to www.geekatplay.com.  I know they have a really good underwater tutorial and if I'm not mistaken, they should have something about making troubled water.  Hope it helps.
