Bazze's cars (link above) are free downloads, for non-commercial use only.   Like all his models, they are excellent.

Otherwise, there are some fine car models available from www.vanishingpoint.biz (also at CP) and from DAZ3D (search on "Dreamscape Creations").

They do tend to be either classic, or exotic (or both), though, rather than familiar, everyday types.   I suppose that that's because creating a model of a Toyota hatchback takes just as much effort as producing a model Ferrari F40, but, in 3D-Land, it's the Toyota that is the niche product.

It depends what you're going to use the car for: do you want an "everyday" car (like a family sedan) or do you need an exotic race car or do you need a minivan or truck?

What features do you need? Do you need any of the parts to move? For example, will the car be shown with the doors open or with a flat tire?
Will you be making a scene in the mechanic's shop where the wheels of the car need to come off?

Or do you need a car that just sits in the image and looks good? Though for a car to look its best, you should also be aware of how you light the scene.

Thank you for your replies.
I don't mind the car being fancy that would be cool.
I would like to have shots of my model getting out of the car so an opening door or window would be good.
I suppose i could always use photos of my own car interior if need be but not sure how well that would work.

Car models with premade poses are great as even if you don't use the pose you can use it as a starting point for your own pose if you like.  Now I am pretty sure that don albert (called don here in renderosity) has made some car poses either at daz or rendero, and I can't remember what car they were for.  I seem to remember one pose don did - I am sure I saw a pic of a passenger leaning over with his elbow out thru the open window in a relaxed fashion.

Is there a new rule where we're not allowed to post links to other people's products? Do we have to say "I can't remember" when it actually takes about 2 seconds to find the product in the Marketplace, especially when you know the vendor's name?

Here's  Don's store
