Subject: Ockhams's Jiggles, How does it work?

flibbits ( ) posted Wed, 09 July 2008 at 7:46 PM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 4:23 PM

I just installed both the old version, and the new version.

The old version worked once, but since then shows some type of .ini error.

The new version does nothing.

Does anyone know how to make this work, or of a similar script that works to make an object shake/jiggle.  I don't need breasts to move, but rather other objects in a scene.

Here's the latest, in case you didn't find it.  I believe it has been
updated to P7.

Basically Jiggles requires you to decide which morphs are going to move.
You specify those morphs on the list in the script, then specify whether
those morphs are mainly up-down or left-right.

After that, the script looks at the positions and movements of the figure
during the animation, and moves the specified morphs according to
the moves of the figure.

(More technically, according to the accelerations of the figure.
Slowing down, speeding up, changing direction ... those are the times
when force is applied to the various moving parts of a figure.)

Yup, I downloaded the Jiggles5 after making the post.  I applied it to a finger to see what would happen, using the bend morphs.  But instead of bending it puffs the finger up like a balloon and then deflates it.

Sounds like it's somehow acting on the Yscale parameter of the finger
instead of the Bend.  Are you sure you highlighted the Bend?

(Or maybe your figure has high blood pressure!)

Finally got it to work, but the jiggles are kind of jerky.  Hoping to find something that does a better job.

Try using the jiggles on the breasts of v3. You will see that it will simulate gravity and physics.

But I don't want to jiggle breasts.  I need it to jiggle a rope as a character walks.

He doesn't want jiggling breasts!?
Oh man, the end is near! 😉
