**So I'm new here, only thing remotely like this I'm part of is IMVU (cringes with embarrassment) I love digital art although I know nothing, I have a degree in fine art and adore art, I'm a keen student,enthusiastic learner and love new knowledge.I'm 34, F,6ft,green eyes,black hair,slim average build blah blah blah hehe and living in the north east of England.I have many interests including art,music,computers,photography,clothes,shoes,comedy,outdoor pursuits,having lots of fun,good wine and food,dancing/laughing/splashing barefoot in the rain (basically anything in the rain lol)  and laughing until i need desperately to pee and much much more so come say hi leave a msg help me understand more about this site as it intrigues,fascinates and excites me a lot :0)                              Thanks Caroline.

p.s.if i was wrong putting this thread here i'm sorry where should i put it, and its not a lonely heart post just looking for friends and maybe mentors i can aspire to :)**

Welcome to Renderosity!  You'll find this site has a bit of something for everyone, from traditional art with paints, pencils and such to digitals art and photography :)  The galleries are a great place to view all the artwork created and even upload your own :)

Are we supposed to know what IMVU is?? Lost me with that one, maybe 'cos I'm older [LOL].

What area of art interests you?

I started out using a graphic program called Paint Shop Pro to make signature tags for an MSN Group that I was a member of.  After a few years of that I got bored and decided to try Poser (a program that allows you to manipulate 3D Models). 

While there are a great number of forums and galleries, from what I've noticed the site seems more towards being Poser oriented because there are a great number of poser related items in the market place.

There is something for everyone here.  Modelling, 2D graphics, 3D graphics, photography and even writing.

So have a look around and don't be afraid to make posts in various forums and ask questions.

This is one of the more friendly sites that I've ever encountered.

Welcome to rendo!!!! I used to be in traditional art too - pencils, paper and paints!!!! ( And photography too ) : ) And haven't really been into 3d computer graphics that long either but I love it - can work out a little expensive though when you really start to get into it : )
I find most people really helpful round here. Feel free to post almost any question you want here, and have fun : )

I have an IMVU account as well, though I rarely use it.
