I have a major problem with then poser doesnt find the texture it looking for. Last example is the stone circle form frestuff, I could not download the textures because of the stupid site download limitation, but decided to open the pz3 anyway. Big mistake, it asks me for a texture and I asked poser to dont search for more textures but it did the opposite. Poser starts to search my disks for the textures and I notice that my free physical memory shrink from 250 MB to 1MB, poser takes 100% of the cpu and the process takes more then 5 minutes. That is going on? I have Poser 4.0.3 or 4.0.2, Windows NT 4.0 and 400 MB of ram. I think I remember the problem from Poser 3 also, but I think the problem is much greater today because of my runtime directory is much larger 4GB, and I have many more textures and folders. It look like figures with many materials is the biggest problem, because I think Poser search the drive one time for each material? The problem is smaller for bump maps or tif files, probably because I have fewer of them. Is it any solution for this problem? Magne

yes you are correct. In the case you are talking about. the only real option you have is to just piont it to the smallest texture you have, and keep that up till the model finnaly shows. then go to your materials editor and select the textures and bump and whatever else to none and the put the check in the whole model box. That will strip the textures off. then you could save it in your library or export it or retexture it as you want. that is about all you can do and keep poser from locking up

Or get CR2Edit and dump the textures BEFORE opening in Poser. Dan http://www.neca.com/~dwilmes/cr2edit.html Sorry Win only for software http://www.zenwareonline.com for ZenPaint, ZenTile, ZenGrid and VueMaster
