Subject: Renderosity has stopped loading for me in IE7

leather-guy ( ) posted Wed, 16 July 2008 at 2:21 AM · edited Fri, 24 January 2025 at 1:07 PM

Hi, all
My preferred browser is IE7, but I have a copy of FireFox 3 I use to see certain streaming video.
This morning about 3am I started having problems loading renderosity pages.  Any time I tried to load one or refresh one, the page would go white for about 4-6 MINUTES, and finally show an "Explorer can not load this page" message.  I've been browsing all day since then, visiting at least 60 sites with no problems viewing and/of downloading from them.  I've gotten two Ebots today, and clicking on the links has the same result.  I assumed the site was down for some reason, but after waiting all day, trying to access from time to time with no luck, I checked over at DAZ to see if there were any mention of it.  I saw no postings or remarks there, and on a hunch, I fired up FireFox and found I could access all my Rendo bookmarks with no problem at all.  Still no luck with IE7.   Can anyone think of a reason this should be, or what I could do about it?
Regards
Jerry

I tried it with IE6 and had no problems getting to Rendo. Maybe try refreshing the browser and delete your temp internet files and try it again?

Let us know if that doesn't work. I don't know of any work being done on site, so Im not sure what other reason IE 7 isn't working properly here.

Anyone else having this problem?

I see that leather-guy,

started having problems loading renderosity pages

I reported a similar problem in another thread, please take a look at the last message in the "CRC check failed" message thread [ Posted Fri, Jul 11, 2008 9:32 pm ] ... Is that what you were getting?  You may need to click the image to see it full size.  BTW, the badly formatted page that I saw took a long time to load ... as you also noted.

Thank you for all the replies - This picture shows the same page in IE7 (on the left - takes 4-6 MINUTES to display this) and FireFox (on the right - loads in about 15 seconds). My problem doesn't seem to be related to the download problem in the other thread, but I'm not really all that knowlegable about it; it does seem to have started recently, so I'm including the info requested in the other thread.

Here is what we need to know from everyone having the problem:

  1.  Who is your ISP?  Verizon
  2.  What type of Service do you have (dial-up, dsl, cable, etc)? DSL
    3)  What OS do you run and what version and service packs? XP, service pack 2
    4)  What software is used to Unzip the file?  (version & service packs)  N/A
    5)  Do you use any type of download manager? NO
  3.  What Anit-virus software are you running? The Shield
    7)  What is the file size stated on Bondware before downloading and what is the file size your computer has after downloading (but before trying to unzip)? N/A
  4. What browser do you use?  IE 7
  5. Router used? Netgear WGT 624 v3 - I've used it for 3 years with no problems.
