(yes I did do a search but I need to clarify something)

anyway,
In one thread here it says the elite shaders are for DS only..but in a forum in Daz it said there were settings for poser....
O.o...
Are there material shaders for poser that are as good as the promo pics show the DS shaders to be?
(I have a b-day coming up in a couple of months and am seriously considering Elite)
I do not use DS though.
if the elite shaders do not work well or equal in poser....are there shaders that can get the same quality for poser?

I don't know if the Elite shaders are for Poser, but here is a link to BagginsBills up-to-date shader thread. Read it, try it, see if it's enough for you.

The elite textures come with a new shader for daz studio (the elite human surface shader) as well as material room setups for poser that are supposed to create similar effects (sub surface scattering, etc).

The stand alone shader at Daz is for DS only. There are shaders that come with the textures for poser but are very poor, not close to what the DS shaders are setup to do, big surprise there. This has been stated in many threads so it's not just my opinion.

Best to use Baggin's free one or Face_off's from the MP.
