How much memory does your computer have?
I had a lot of problems with Vue crashing.
I had 1 GByte of physical memory.
I upgraded my computer to 4 GBytes of memory
and now Vue is a lot more stable, haven't had
any crashes so far.
I use Windows XP Pro, and one thing I noticed
when I looked at the Task Manager is that when
rendering, Vue uses over 2 GBytes of memory,
so that might explain why it kept crashing when
I only had 1 GByte of actual memory.
It's not a memory problem. I have 6 GB of memory.
The problem is that xStream is very poorly written application. I have heard nothing but problems from both Mac and Windows users.
Having used it on both, it crashes constantly. It crashes more on my Mac now than it ever did on Windows.
The only workaround I have found is to create a scene in standalone mode and import that into C4D.
there's an automatic rescaling choice in the xtream pluggin for C4D that I use to adjust. Also I got lots of RAM which has reduced my number of crashes. 14GB of RAM
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

Yep, I used to get crashes on render until I dramatically increased my ram.
WEll it oculd be a coincidence.

I'm sick and tired of it crashing, but I have a scene that I can't export out with the materials intact. Have you had any luck creating a scene in Vue and importing into the host? Does it crash when you try to render it?
I'm having a big problem with the size issue between C4D and Vue. Vue is very, very small. Any advice to make these two mesh up?
