Subject: Victoria 4 Versions...So many!

DosPorticos ( ) posted Sun, 27 July 2008 at 12:01 PM · edited Mon, 10 February 2025 at 3:38 PM

I am working on a project and have a version of  DAZ Victoria 4 loaded. She is morphed out a bit. But some of the body morph poses I have for her in my library are not doing anything when I apply them. I think it is a version conflict. Is there a way to know which version of Victoria 4 I am working with?

Thanks

If the morphs from the pose folder aren't doing anything, then you are probably working with V4.2. V4.2 doesn't have the morphs preloaded. You have to go to the pose folder and load her morph package, then go to the pose folder and load the character morphs.

Morph poses would require the V4 morphs to be loaded to the figure using one of the inj poses first . Have you done that ?

The character file (cr2) is labelled with the version number , at least for 4.2  so it should be obvious thats what you are loading .

Thanks. I'll do some playing around with it and see what morph works and what does not. The pz3 is a saved file and I do not recall which version cr2 I loaded to begin the scene. I thought there might be some insider Poser clues I could look for to determine the difference. I do not believe I had to load any preliminary inj pose before I loaded the body morph - and no, I do not know which body pose she is wearing at the moment - but it ain't the default one.

I thought V4.0 and V4.1 products would work with V4.2. Is the clothing, props, skins per each version. I figure the morphs/inj are unique per version, but the clothing etc went cross versions. I'm not stating a fact, I'm asking a question.

I thought the V4.0, V4.1 clothes/skins went on V4.2, but V4.2 wouldn't go on V4.0, V4.1, or are clothes on all versions interchangable?.

Do I have to keep all versions of V4.0, V4.1 and V4.2 installed?

V4.2 Elite is now added to the mix.

DosPorticos is right...so many versions.
