Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 4:12 am)
I have an Imac exactly the same like you... and I have Vue Pro Studio 6... it never has crashed. now I'm working in a scene with 1550 objects and 3 different ecosystems and everything goes nice. from time to time some memory purging and occasional rebooting... for me that keeps the resources always at 70%. try out and you'll see that you machine can cope with it. good luck!
Current Vue installed on Macbook (not Pro) Intel 2gHz, 1 Gb RAM. Video card is underpowered for previews but renders great. Vue currently not installed on 5th generation iMac, 2.16Ghz Intel proc, 3Gb RAM. Considering using Xfrog or Maya Paint Effects trees for this system instead for better integration with Renderman.
I'm using Macbook Pro, with 2GB Ram. No real complaints other than the video chip tends to 'lose' or 'degrade' items quickly on screen when very busy, but that would be true of any system (15 full Poser figures really adds up. Either won't display or shows items as a wireframe box- item is still there, just hard to work with for placement)) but all images render great. Make sure you have the latest patch or build though.

I would like to know how vue and Macs work together. I have an IMac with 2gig ram and intel processsor. I like to do 3D landscapes and had a PC and Bryce4 now that i have a Mac want to see what works well with it. BTW i had a brain injury 5 years ago, so somethings take me awhile to get used to. Thanks in advance for the help.
