Subject: How do you install Victoria 4.2?

mikeymike1 ( ) posted Thu, 07 August 2008 at 7:36 AM · edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 12:27 AM

I hope someone can help me because I can't make this this Victoria 4.2 work.

I bought the Victoria 4.2 Pro Bundle and the Elite Bundle.
I'm running Poser 7.

No matter what I do, I can't get everything to work together.
I install everything (activate and install)and then load the 4.2 figure and look at the body parameters.
The morph dials are there and turn, but the figure does not morph.

Can someone please walk me through the installation process.

I have never had problems with any figures or products before but this one is...aaaaaargh!

Thanks in advance.

Did you run the update script that comes with the Morphs++ product? This has to be run immediately after the install, and apparently it updates the base figure somehow, to accept the morphs. It has to be run after installing any of the other morphs packages too, such as the Muscle Morphs.

More details on this are in the ReadMe file for V4.2 Morphs++

Thanks for the idea. Will give it I try.
Done this reinstall so many times, forgot what I did! : )

Doesn't do anything.

The morphs++ show up and work.
When I load the Elite Morphs...they don't even show up.
Then when I try the Muscle morphs (which don't show up in the parameters either)
and load a figure that 'requires' them
I get a 'please locate InjDeltas.FBMBodyBuilder'
Which exists is the parameters and cannot be found anywhere in my runtime.

I'm about ready to give up on V4.2 and get my money back.

Absolutely ridiculous!

Thanks for the help.

Sorry, I misunderstood... I thought your Morphs++ were not working.
I haven't tried any others, so I'm no use to you!

Have you tried DAZ3D's support section, contact us.  They list several reasons why stuff isn't installed correctly--you may have to extract every thing to your desktop or a folder that you create to see exactly where everything is located.  That file may not be in your runtime branch.  Jan

I have the same problem. In addition I am running Poser on an external hard drive with a separate runtime for V4. Now I can't get elite morphs to work, but I remember having a big problem when I first got V4 which is working OK now. If you get elite to work let me know how you did it.

It seems to me that you can only use one set of morphs at a time, which I am sure is not how it's supposed to work.
I have the morphs++ installed and working and I have the Elite and Muscle morphs installed.
Everytime I use the Muscle Morphs I get the same 'Please locate InjDelta.FBMBodyBuilding'.

So I can't use those morphs.

Elite works though.

What trouble are you having?
BTW using an external HD should be no problem.

I finally got it to work. All of the morphs work at the same time. In my case I had to install both V4 and the Elite morphs to the main runtime as well as the V4 runtime. It doesn't allow you to install to an additional runtime so I had to select the "install to DAZ studio" and then direct it to install in my Poser V4 runtime. Then I shut down Poser, restarted, loaded V4, installed morphs++, loaded muscle morphs and then Elite morphs. If everything is installed correctly you will see both the muscle morphs and Elite morphs in the parameter dials under morphs. It is working fine now. You should see The Elite dials as I have on the attached screen shot. Good luck! (Click on the screen shot to show full size.)

Glad it works for you!

I don't know why I'm having that 'please locate...' problem.
As far as I can see the FBMBodybuilder dial exists but the InjDelta file of the same name does not.
Very strange.

Cheers

It would be interesting to do a search on your computer and see where the DAZ Installer put the INJDelta file on your computer. If Poser can't find it then it must have been placed in some oddball location.

I bought the creature creator yesterday  and I am having problems with getting "locate InjDeltas"  I have unstalled all my Victoria 3 and 4.2 all the base and morphs and still can't use the creature creator.  I have contacted Daz support,  I am waiting for them to get back with me.

Thank you,
LP
