Subject: ISO frosted glass material

Does anyone have any ideas about how to make (or a source for) a frosted glass type material ?
I've been racking my brains about how to make one but I don't think I'm on the right track somehow

I suppose you want something like this, right?

I'm not home, I can't test this, but wouldn't a simple blurred transparency work?

That's about spot on Chipp.  If you could vary the opacity of the frosting that would be a bonus (actually - just a hint on how to do it would be good.  I need to get to grips more with the function editor anyway.)

I think that's one of the things I either didn't try or didn't get working - I was looking at translucency mostly but It's worth looking again when I get home

In looking at the example images by Rutra, try blurred transparency.  It looks identical
