Subject: Victoria 4.2 Creature Creator Morphs

ladyperiwinkle ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2008 at 11:57 AM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 2:44 AM

I bought Victoria 4.2 Creature Creator Morphs today and it will not install, I get this message "The required file has not been found". Now I have Victoia 4.2 with the morphs bundle. Do I need Victoia 4.1 for this to work, because it staes all that is required is and I qoute "Required Products Victoria 4.2 Base" -

Also what is BitRock Installer for Windows File Verison 1.0.0.0 do I need that speacial installer to bring it into poser 7?

I did contact tech support at DAZ -- but it takes a couple of days for them to get back to you.  I am really looking forward to working with the Creature Creater.

Can any one help me?

Thank you!

I recommend you call them on the phone for support on this, as their email reply is really slow.

Hi!

Is the installer complaining about some missing ini- file?
I remember there was a problem with the early bitrock-installers but I thought they fixed that?

I'm pretty certain that message just means that it has not found the V4.2 base figure files in the Runtime into which you are installing the morphs product. You get the same message when trying to install Aiko4 into a separate Runtime.

So the Q is - are you trying to install these morphs into the same Runtime as V4.2?

Yes, the V4.2 character is available in your library, but the question is the same:-

Are you sure you are trying to install the Creature Morphs into the same Runtime where your V4.2 character and morphs are installed? If you are not, then you will get that message, since the product installer cannot find the V4.2 files. When that message appears, the window has a title that says something like "Dependency Error".

If you are sure you are selecting the parent folder of the Runtime where your V4.2 character is installed, then I do not know why this message is coming up. Sorry!

I had uninstalled and reinstalled all my Victoria 4 Base and V4.2 Base and Morphs and this time the BitRock  Sit thing intstalled the creature creator. But I still can't get the morphs.

Thank you

Okay, that's one step closer!

Did you run the V4.2 update script after installing the creature morphs? There is some more information about this script in the Read Me file.

Also, are the standard Morphs++ working okay?

What 4.2 update script? All the base ans extended morphs that I had before are working just fine, just can not get the creature creater morphs to work

FrankT ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2008 at 7:48 PM

There should have been an update script placed on your desktop when you install V4.2 - you have to run that each time you install a new set of morphs

I did that after I reinstalled  Victoria 3 Base - Victoria 4.2 Base and Morphs++   In my side panal menu thing that you choose things from it has Creature Morphs + thing there, when i hit it to download them it it takes few minutes then it states apply orginal pose.  So I at a loss on this, It almost acts as if I don't have the InjectDeltasHD items things. I down loaded everthing from DAZ for my pc.

I have contacted DAZ tech support, not sure when they will get back with me.

It states that it is installed shows up in the libaries part , but nothing in
the dial parameter.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled all my Victoria files. I am at a loss on this.

The libaries has a icon picture with the Creature Creator picture with the Morphs+ I click on that states that it is loading it, but when I open up the dial parameter, only the base morphs and the morphs++ are there.

I have folders also that has each individual morph in it  in-- the sub library in the Daz folder of the libarary, but if I click on the deer ear, nothing happens

I am lost.

You did not say whether you ran the V4.2 update script after you installed the Creature Creator morphs. This is necessary.

If the shortcut to this update script is no longer on your Desktop, then you can run it directly from the library.

It is in the folder Runtime/Libraries/!DAZ/. On my Mac it is called DzCreateExPFiles-V4.command. It will be called something very similar on a PC.

yes I did

That picture only confirms that the morph injection poses are installed in your library; it does not confirm that you ran the V4.2 update script after the installation. But if you say you did, then you did!

In that case I do not know why they are not showing up... sorry.

Your image shows that V4 has NOT been updated. You should have a category for the creature creator morphs. The parameters tab should show a category for creature creator, along with the Morphs++ categories. If you don't have the channels, then the creature creator pose cannot correctly inject into your V4. The attached image shows what the parameter tab should look like (with body selected) before the creature creator morphs are injected.
