Character is by Ratatak, links no longer live in free stuff. I've sent him an email twice via his website and I got no reply. If I remember correctly it had a borg implant prop, which is mainly what I wanted to use. I use to have it and thought I saved it to my cds but cannot locate it!  If anyone still has it, does the readme allow distribution?

Porthos, there used to be a 7 of 9 lookalike by Orion1187 here at the RMP, which included a borg eyepiece (if that's what you're looking for(: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=36000 ). It's not available anymore, but maybe you could contact him about it.

Thanks Guy, I already have the one by Orion, the character is 'spot on' but the borg implant doesn't look the same as the one worn on the tv characer - ratatak had an excellent verion on the V2 character. Thanks all the same! :)

I don't often get the chance to play around with Poser any more but it's still the most fun 3D programme ever. Thanks to ALL the contributors of free stuff to sites like Renderosity. This character is the result of everything you guys have taught me thus far (and I still have a lot to learn!).

The directory structure is in tact so it should unzip straight in ok.
USAGE:
The character file is for Vicky 2.
The two props included are the eyepiece and the communicator badge, which were made by me (made crudely but they look ok :) I suppose they're copyright but who the heck would want to steal 'em!
This character can't be used for commercial purposes due to the obvious sci-fi series reference.

So I dont think it can be distributed, the zip that I have is called scifi.zip, maybe that can help you to search in your own archives.

Thanks for that Jonny. I have sent Ratatak another email asking if he could send me a copy, and if that's impossible would it be alright for someone else to send it to me - no reply so far! I guess he doesn't anwer emails! :( However i will search my achives again for that zip file, I have a sinking feeling it was on one of the disks I discarded because it was corrupt!

Try leaving him a message in one of his gallery uploads. Most people have it set to be notified of comments.

I've done that as a last resort asking them to check their site mail, and managed to get the person to contact me that way.

I figure since they took away the option of being able to email people, this is the closest we have to being able to still do that: provided they have comment notifications turned on, which most do.

I think its rather sad when good freestuff disappear from the Internet (except of cource if the provider dont want it there no more), wish there was some place for them to reside in eternity :-)

Nope. I tried.  But none of the download links work. They give the 404 page not found error.

The archive website (also known as the Wayback Machine), has (or has not, depending on who I ask) to display pictures, but not always files. There's also some sort of 'robot' that deletes some sites from time to time.

Still, it's not a bad place to look, tho...
