Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 30 6:52 am)
at least YOU get an error. i get.... NOTHING.
Vue crashed this morning (numerous times, as usual)
So, i decided reboot the computer.
while i was at it, i let it do a computer update i just noticed.
no problem, right?
come back, and try to load vue. it shows in the process window of my task manager, but NOT in the applications tab. and of course, no where else to be seen, too. =(
and won't load.
so, we're in the same boat. re-install time. =(

If you see a Vue process running, but Vue won't launch, it may be that Vue is "partly launched", or didn't completely shut down. This happens with Outlook 2003 quite often.
Try stopping any Vue processes running in task manager (ignore warning), restart your machine and Vue will probably load normally again.
Happened to me once in XP Pro, SP-3 and several times with Outlook and several times on my clients machines Win 2000 (I'm a computer consultant) with Outlook.
jc - i already thought of that and tried rebooting about 4 or 5 times - no go. reinstalling was the only solution by that point (short of ripping out the REST of my hair LOL)
and i think you're right... when vue crashed that last time, it was during a render. i forced it to shut down, but didnt think to check in task manager to see if it finished shutting itself down.
i dont use outlook, nor is it even configured. - and this is XP Pro 64 with whatever service packs they have out & all the stupid bells & whistles... this computer is a bit picky anyway (it has thus far rejected every single printer i have hooked up - even with the proper 64 bit drivers, and rejects MP3 players as well)
but i suppose it has a right to be picky... it IS named after a couple of Goddesses =D
let us know how its going, andrewe.... and good luck, i'm still rootin for you =D

i had another reinstall, but this time got smart. im not opening that scene file again.
pity, because it WAS loverly.
oh... AVG mucked up, too... i think the universe went haywire yesterday. AVG is fine now (after a repair, a reinstall, several failed updates... at 1am, i finally finished the update process and the missing .bat file suddenly reappeared)
but...
does anyone have a wig i can borrow? Victoria isn't sharing hers, and i ripped all my hair out yesterday ;) (j/k)
is yours doing better today, andrewe?

I was playing with Vue last night and the computer crashed, first time ever. So today I am wanting to play with VUE and it will not boot. I get one of those windows Runtime C++ errors
