This is a new image inspired by a night here where I live about 1 1/2 weeks ago when we had 13 tornados touch down. Please critique this image and be honest. I need your feed back to better myself. The models are all work done by others and I don't know who they all are,but to all of you tallented modelers I say thank you for letting others use your good work in their images. Thank you in advance for your criticisms. *g* Swade

Good job. I'd make the dirt kicked up from the ground a bit darker.

Hey, great scene... I agree the dust needs to be darker than the tornado... Also, there's gotta be more turbulence in the scene... Everything else looks too calm.. the water's calm, the plants are calm... I would think the plants would be windblown and the water more turbulent... But maybe that's not how it is.. I've never been next to a tornado... But the tornado's great and the dust cloud is great.. The rest of the scene looks fine too, just too clean... :)

13 tornadoes ? Holy Sh*t!...Good image the clouds look real good to... As far as improvements go, well I guess I'd darken every thing up a bit, have the sky settings cloud set to cast shadows, I dunno, I dont know how these things actually look, seems you'd know better than most, lol...

Thanks, for the feedback. I do agree that the dust kicked up by the tornado needs to be darker EricofSD. And Tradivoro,I also see like you say that I will need to put some more turbulence around the storm itself. Maybe some debris in the air around the storm itself. And as you said Adamite I think you are right to notice that things should be darkened up a bit as well as havin the sky settings cloud set to cast shadows. These are all helpful and would enhance this image much. Actually it can be relatively calm a distance away from the tornado. This is what I have the cardinal and snowy owl leaving the scene for....their recognition of the danger on the horizon. I will rework this image a bit and post it again. Thanks again Swade Thanks again for your input. ;o)

If I may be allowed to add one opinion ... Since the focus is supposed to be on the twister, I'd tone down the lightning a bit, I found that it atttracted my attention before the tornado did. Otherwise a very nice image. Now I feel like digging my Twister DVD out ... :-)

Actually, areas around a Tornado can look just like this ... perfectly calm. Usually it is dark, and sometimes raining, but yuo can have calm conditions around you and see a tornado in the distance. Nice image!
