Subject: School Pictures

Has anyone taken school pictures?  I'm considering it for our little school and was wondering where to start for printing.  Normally I have most things printed at Costco or Sams club and as far as photos go, they are fine.  But I'd love to find an online company where I can upload to and order packages.  I did find one site but it was in the UK.  (I'm in the US)  And I'm looking into this site,
www.nationsphotolab.com.

Any suggestions?

Mpix is pretty good from what i've read. Don't forget to take class photo's, they're very important memories.

p.s. School photo's are pretty tough. You gotta have lots of patience and practice to please most people. Good luck.

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

Thanks for the link, I'm looking at it now.

Our school is very small and it'll help that I know 90% of the kids and their parents pretty well.  In all of K through 8th we have 20 kids this year.  I haven't even approached the teacher about it yet, I wanted to get a couple of sample packages done using my kids to show her and have an idea of pricing.

Attached Link: http://www.pictureframes.com/html/business.html

Check out Pictureframes.com. they have services for business professionals and may be able to help you out by offering volumn discounts as well as giving parents an option to frame their childs print and ship it directly to them. We haven't used them yet ourselves, but we are going to in the near future. So far the samples they sent us are very promising.

Hi bentchick, I actually use pictureframes for art prints and their framing service is great.   I'm not sure they will work for what I'm after though.

I put in an order at nationsphotolab.com and am waiting to see their quality.  They have options like a 5x7 and 4 wallets on one sheet.  Perfect for schools.    I ordered an 8x10, the 5x7 w/wallets and a sheet of 16 mini wallets and with the shipping it was only $12.00.  Uploading through their software though was too slow.    They even do back printing if you want your business name printed on the backside.    I will definitely be shooting my own kids this year but I'm sure I'm too late to discuss doing this year's photos with the teacher.  Last year they failed to shoot a group photo though so I will be doing that this year.
