In the next few weeks I will be getting a second PC for doing only 3D work. I have been doing some commissioned work on the side for a year now and now have been asked to be an artist on a larger project which i so very cool however, mums the word on this project until it's released to the masses sorry.

Anyway, here are the specs:
ASUS P5K Motherboard, Intel P35 chipset,
Intel Quad Core 2 Q9450 2.66GHz (12MB),1333MHz
8GB Dual channel RAM
Antec Sonata Plus case with 550W Power Supply
Western Digital 500GB SATA2, 7200rpm
ASUS 20x DL DVD-RW Burner, Lightscribe
Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512MB
Windows Vista Home Premium, 64-bit

I have never had an Intel processor in any of my custom machines I've always been an AMD man but the deal was right and I liked what I've read about them over the AMD Phenoms. I also have two 500 GB external HDs which I back up on as I don't believe in large external runtimes. This machine will never see the internet so I can lose a lot of apps running in the background for virus and spyware. Now I will have a little more punch for using Vue 6 Infinte, poser and in the future maybe C4D. I know it's not a super machine but it's got a heck of a lot more kick than my machine I use now.

I hope you will install some AV/ Spyware software if you are accepting files from other people on CD or USB pen - your machine may never connect to the internet, but theirs might!

Otherwise, great specs - it will fly!
