But isnt there a way to pose V 4.2 at the hips? I did it in carrara6 but for the life of me cant remember how i did it. I dont thnk i have ever poser her at the hips in poser 7 Am i crazy??

Are you trying to bend her?  If so I believe you do that using the Abdomen.

If you use IK on the feet, you can pose the hip without having the legs fly in the air. Perhaps you have to adapt the thighs and the shins a little. There is no bend or twist or side to side but you'll have to rotate on the x/y/z axes.
