Subject: New Base Figure From Morphs Using CR2Loader?

Hi!

Okay...   I've read the manual and have tried several methods, but can't seem to get this. What I am trying to do is create a new figure that is based on previous figures using morphs. I then want to save this new figure as a new base figure and then export this into Lightwave via the Greenbriar CR2 Loader/Rigger. Every time I try this, I get the original Hiro Toon figure in LW with tons of morph options but none that appear to completely recreate the character I made. I'd also like to keep the standard facial morphs for easy manipulation in Lightwave.

  1. Load into Poser (Pro or 7) the base Hiro Toon character.
  2. Load the INJ Poses for the entire head.
  3. Using the morph dials, create an entirely new figure.
  4. Save the new figure in both the Library and as a PZ3.
  5. In Lightwave Modeler, select CR2 Loader and bring character into LW.
  6. Get the Hiro Toon character instead of the new character I created.

I've tried using the Create Character from Morphs option in CR2 Loader but no luck. I was just wondering how others may have been able to do this. It seems like it should be possible with this plugin, but I'm apparently missing a crucial step.

I HAVE been able to Export the new character directly from Poser using either the OBJ or LWO options, but then of course none of the standard morphs come through at all.

If this is possible, any help would be appreciated.  :)

Hi!

Basicly I think it goes something like this.

Morph figure, zero figure in joint editor, export as object, import same object (all boxes unchecked), enter setup rom, doubleclick on the original base Hiro Toon character in the library to add bones to your imported object, leave setup room, save character into library.

Add desired morphs from original character to new one with the help of morphmanager.

there may be some variations that I forgot but thoose are the basic steps (if I understand rigth what you are after).

Regards / Jonny

Jonny,

Thanks - I'll give it a shot!
