how do people get to be these? i've just seen a bunch of pictures lately with people saying theyre testing a skin...im guessing they just have to be a badass at poser

Don't know about others but I have a group of people that betatest for me. They are people that I have interacted with over my time here on the forum and that I feel that I can trust. In the past there have been betatesters that have taken the files and made them available for download by others. Of course being badass at Poser does hurt because then people seek you out. If you want to beta test for people you have to be able to tell them what is wrong without worrying about hurting feelings, you aren't there to make them feel good you're there to help keep them from being embarassed by something they might have missed. It also helps to have more than one system. You have to be willing to make yourself available for that person...if they are up all night trying to get something to work so they can get it out to the store it's hard if the beta tester can't work with them. I figure it this way, most testers get the free model or texture pack. So if I test for someone I am working for that item. Also it's fun, and sometimes you get to see your suggestions in the finished product. Marque

I've beta tested for a couple of people here. One in particular makes really good clothing. I haven't been asked to test his any more though :( Was it something I said? Nah I doubt it. Maybe he just likes to vary his testers. (Hoping that's it) Anyway I'm always happy to test now. Especially since I now have Poser installed at work. Gives me a lot of Poser time. Still don't have anything I feel is worth posting though. AR

I wondered the same thing myself, and then a little while ago I got to test Lunah V2 by Taura Noxx, it was the best fun and it was also a real boost for my own creativity. I know I'd love to do some more test work for people, if I ever get the offer.

I got 3 system's - 2 fast ones and a slow one. But dont post image's (terrible at it) if anyone's intrested and fast DSL.

I was given a chance at it by a well known artist as well, and it was great fun! Prolly the best experience I've had with Poser. I was pretty new to it, and this person was looking for someone less experienced - wanted to put out a product that could be used 'right out of the box', and by God, he did. I've never had any problem using his stuff. I know a little more now and have become more adventurous (i.e. dangerous - LOL) thanks to him.
