I'm desperatly looking for a XP64 compatible wireless PCI card.

Does someone has a suggestion for such a card with available Windows XP64 drivers?

I think that more or less any wifi card has x64 drivers. They have limited number of chipsets to choose from and I think that all of them are supported on XP64. If card manufacturer doesn't have it, then chipset manufacturer has it.

I have Canyon CN-WF511, it has ralink chipset and has XP64 drivers. It costs around 15€.

If you don't get XP64 drivers on included CD you can download them from http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Windows.html , it's fourth from the top (RT2500 chipset), PCI/mPCI/CB(RT256x/RT266x .

Btw, how could i know what sort of chipset my actual pci card has?
I have Hercules HWGPCI-54.

It's written somewhere on the card, usually on biggest chip. Or if it's covered by something google knows :). And google says it's got RT2561 chipset which puts it in the same family as that Canyon card, and by the look of that card on hercules website, I'd say it's the same card with different sticker, even the antenna is the same :).

So just try with drivers from my first post. It should work fine.

The Linksys WMP54GS works in Windows XP Pro x64 (and XP Pro 32-bit) - how do you think that I'm here writing this? ;)

It must be a v1.1 (min. I would think) and uses, again, the Ralink RT2500 chipset.  It is a bit of work as the drivers must be installed manually but no problems here.  It may be that they have fixed this as the Ralink pages and drivers have been updated since I went there last.

ETA: It is a shame that Linksys, a VERY large company involved in wired and wireless network and internet hardware solutions, seems to have decided that 64-bit drivers aren't really worth making.  Considering that there are now a dozen or so 64-bit OSs out there (including Windows XP Pro x64, several Vista 64-bit flavors, Linux 64-bit which has existed forever, and NOW even MacOS X 10.5), you'd think that they would get the hint.  Okay, when x64 and Vista were beta not as critical.  They have been released for over a year now.  All of us 64-bit users should just flood them with requests for 64-bit drivers until they can't tolerate it anymore.  Then maybe they'll get off of their laurels and do something about it...

The Ralink drivers don't work too :(

I executed the exe, then i pointed to the drivers folder.

For manual install go to device manager, find your card (probably something named network adapter), right click it and select install drivers or update drivers, it depends if some drivers were insalled or not. I noticed you're from France, so you'll have to figure out what these are called on french windows. Next you should tell windows that you want to find the drivers manually, and browse to folder where they are. If you didn't change anything during installation they should be in your "Program Files (x86)" folder (again, translate to your windows version) then RALINKRT6x Wireless LAN CardDriver.

I just downloaded them and hercules' drivers, they all seem the same, except hercules has older version. And I see that there are x64 files in hercules version. Have you tried with them?

Solo, yep i did try this exe. Where did you get it from?
I ask that because on the Hercules site, they don't say it's XP64 compatible, and i found the exact same files on another site where they said it was compatible.
I tried it and Windows didn't want those drivers :(

I found it on hercules site, DL-ed it and looked what's inside, 64bit drivers are inside. Are you sure your card is working properly? I had similar experience when card had some kind of conflict (in my case it was SkyStar2 card). None of the drivers worked, it was in device manager, but wouldn't take any drivers. I plugged it in another PCI slot and suddenly everything worked fine.

Yeah, sometimes the slot can be a problem or a conflict with another device.  Also, some of these only work with specific channels set (1 or 11 or something like that) and you must match that to your wireless router or other external device as well.  One thing to watch for once your card apparently works is losing connectivity and not being able to get it back without a restart, reboot, or, in the worst case, a hard reset of the computer.  This is why I dumped another Linksys card as it was constantly doing this to me in 64-bit.

I just tried to plug it into another slot, but no change.

I re-tried also the Hercules exe. In fact, it's the very same that is on the CD i have. The problem i have is after i double click to install, it begins to install. Then it asks me to turn off the computer and place the PCI card, and says the drivers install will continue after the reboot. But when i reboot, nothing is installing :(

I also forget to add it's for a dual boot computer with XP32 Home and XP64 Pro. Perhaps the problem comes from here?
The card is perfectly installed on the XP32 boot. But really doesn't want to on the XP64 boot.

I also have to add i wrote to the Hercules support to ask for a 64 driver for this card, they answered me that such a driver wasn't available for this card. So i'm really surprized you found a XP64 driver in the exe. Perhaps you saw the Vista 64 drivers?

I'm all out on ideas. If it works in 32bit XP it should work in 64bit, dual boot or not. Also, generic drivers should work unless hercules implemented something special that prevents windows from using generic (ones from ralink site) drivers. Hercules drivers are from 2007., so I doubt that they'd include Vista64 drivers and not XP64. Nowadays most hardware has same drivers for XP and Vista, graphics card and motherboard drivers are one of exceptions. I.e. drivers are the same as in file sense, but "they know" what part to use when installed on XP, and what on Vista (same was for 32bit, only one set of 32bit files inside).

Last thing I can think is to try with these drivers, I hope it's OK to post rapidshare link

These are the drivers I used with XP64 year or so ago, they are older, but my card worked with these. These are pure drivers, no control panel or anything, just drivers, zip is around 120 kb in size. You need to install them manually. Right click on wifi card in Device Manager, Update driver option and then browse to folder where you unpacked it manually. If windows say they can't find compatible drivers for your hardware then hercules must have implemented something that prevents windows to use the card with generic drivers.
Funny thing is, I found on more than one place that it says card supports XP64 bit, like here www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php, and drivers on that page are the same as the ones from hercules site (HWGPCI-54-V3.1.exe).

In fact, before to buy this card, i checked ineternet to see if it was XP64 capable and found this notice on www.touslesdrivers.com (which is the french reference site about drivers). So i bought it. Now you know my deception ;)

I've fixed my problem by now: i've bought another card ^^
The Hercules one is definitely not XP64 ready.

I have now an EDIMAX EW-7128g (which really looks like the Hercules one, and same chipset too) that has the 64 drivers in the box :)
It works flawlessly.
