Subject: Wouldn't it be nice

In a perfect world, SP3 wouldn't have such long, long feet.  See how long they are?  I find them very disturbing.  Certainly not at all "petite".  Wouldn't it be nice to do something about this?  And then be able to pass this around to our friends?

While there are lots of ways to get this done, like using magnets and spawning morph targets and stuff, but wouldn't be nice if you had a big powerful modeling app that could do this kind of thing?

Maybe something like this.  Less like canoe paddles and more like feet.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a handy little button that you could just click that would take it from here?

Wouldn't it be nice if this just worked without all the fussing and rescaling and exporting and importing and mucking around trying to puzzle out which internal name you miskeyed and why the dial won't work?

And then they might look like this when rendered?

"Feet are not a big deal," I hear you saying.  "It's just four actors that get morphed."  What about a full body morph?  Wouldn't it be nice if Stephanie's body was a bit less tomboy and a little more feminine and curvy?

Maybe like this? Sure, you can do this with magnets, but wouldn't it be nice if you could do it with just one deformer? or with all the other features of your modeler?

Wouldn't it be nice?

I think it's very nice, personally.  **BEST FEATURE EVER.

**Newly added for the current version of Kuroyume0161's interPoser Pro.  Content creators, particularly those working with Cinema 4D, really ought to take a look at this.  It is made of awesome.

That looks so easy when you do it. (as most things are once youve learned them)

personaly Ive never looked at Cinema 4D ( I get totaly lost when I try to model in my copy of Hexagon), its a bit expensive and may just end up collecting dust on my comp.

I do however see the value of the interPoser Pro thingy, nice job on the feet of SP3.

For some reason, her feet seem too small now, but it's a nice walkthrough nonetheless.

If you are going to real porportions, the hands should be the size of her face, the feet should be the size of her head.

those are rough guidelines for noobs that would otherwise draw hideously disproportioned monstrosities. there is no 'magic guideline' for proportion when it comes to the human body: everyone is different.

pjz99 ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2008 at 1:44 PM

... although, most people are not so different as those crazy-long feet SP3 has by default ;)

its not just SP3.
V4s are just as bad... but ive been looking at them for so long that i kindof got used to them. i just fixed them earlier this week and just toggling the morph from 0-1-0-1-0-1 is freaky.

My sister is built like S3 and has long feet also. I don't find it weird

Had C4D opted to spend the upgrade money on Maya instead. Don't need to buy a ton of plugins to get what I want now. But nice of you to do the tutorial for those who use C4D. I also have odd feet but have never had a complaint about them....lol

Thanks. Sp3 has clown feet and I also found it very distracting. Usually I use magnets but these morphs look neat.

Or such a big, long,  egg shaped head.
