Subject: Image shrink at the galleries blurs images?

Rutra ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2008 at 5:50 PM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 8:05 AM

Is it my eyes, or my screen, or does Renderosity blurs images a lot when it shrinks it to fit the page, at the galleries?

In Cornucopia3D, for example, that doesn't happen. The shrinked image is as sharp as the original, full size version. There's even a site, RedBubble, where the shrinked image is even sharper than the original one.

Am I making myself clear?...

I didn't know that Rendo. shrank images?
Mine appear at the dimensions I post them (when viewed at full size).
Do you mean the image before it's viewed full size? Guess you do.
Haven't really noticed any difference myself, just smaller.

Yes, I'm talking about the image before it's viewed full size.

Yes, definitely.  Don't know why, other than that they must be using some software to view the original file at the wrong size, hence the blurring.  I can't imagine that they resize each and every image at the preview size.

My self-build system - Vista 64 on a Kingston 240GB SSD, Asus P5Q Pro MB, Quad 6600 CPU, 8 Gb Geil Black Dragon Ram, CoolerMaster HAF932 full tower chassis, EVGA Geforce GTX 750Ti Superclocked 2 Gb, Coolermaster V8 CPU aircooler, Enermax 600W Modular PSU, 240Gb SSD, 2Tb HDD storage, 28" LCD monitor, and more red LEDs than a grown man really needs.....I built it in 2008 and can't afford a new one, yet.....!

Thanks, I was starting to think the problem was in me! :-)
