There are two ways to rename a figure: either within the Poser scene or by opening the cr2 file in a text editor. I explain both of these methods on my [General Tips & Information](http://www.cocs.com/poser/tips.htm) page.

Hi all,
I'm a beginner, a complete noob to Poser. I mainly work with Carrara and Hexagon. But I wanted to make my own conforming clothing for Victoria and Poser is (from what I read?) the only tool where it's possible to rig clothing for figures.
So I installed Poser, read some tutorials and got pretty far for being someone who never even saw Poser before. This is what I did...
I made some drafts for clothing in Hexagon, imported the .obj files into Poser.
Selected my item, went to the setup room
Loaded the Victoria 4 Dev figure and removed any joints that didn't belong to my item
Went back into poser room, conformed my clothing to Victoria
And voila! I made my own conforming clothing!
Now, I of course want to use my rigged clothing in Carrara. I'm not really sure how to export my props or clothing in a proper way from Poser. I checked out some free stuff here at renderosity and they're all in pz2 or pz3 format. So I guessed I simply could save the scene and import into Carrara. It worked like a charm. Just one problem, my clothing show up as "V4 Dev Suit". Same thing when I imported it into DAZ Studio.
How do I rename my items in Poser? I clicked around everywhere and finally thought I could change the name in Hierarchy Editor, the name of the item changes in the poser room anyway. But not when I save the scene and import into Carrara or DAZ Studio.
