Why not try some more retro designs, like Chris Foss or something. Or intergrating more unusual designs like half space ship half house/windmill type thing.
Or you could completly try to step out of your comfort zone and try a different subject.
I've been slowly trying to reproduce Constables "Haywain" using Bryce.

Step outside your comfort zone, even if only for a short time. Try to stimulate parts of that gray matter that are usually dormant.
I've recently been doodling in Apophysis for base material to use in 2D comps.
It's refeshing after running into a wall with Bryce the other day.

How about something based on today's news? Something in the absurd vein?

I don't doubt that you would have "blank page syndrome" after your prodigious outpouring of creativity recently. Hans Holbein, and massive city-sized starships! Maybe what you're experiencing is akin to post-Partum Depression, after delivering all those children of the mind. ;-)
Since most of the spaceships you design look like human-type high technology, perhaps you could try a more organic style spaceship design; something with flowing lines, something that looks like it may have been grown rather than manufactured. Imagine a foe for the races that would use the ships you've already designed. Good luck!

thanks again guys, well i have taken some inspiration for at least one new image, and it is off my beam as it were. I'll not say too much except to give you a clue to the inspiration: "The Tull" (ask Bobbystar) - image to come soon i hope.

Well its funny how the world turns, the company ive been working for was building a Data Centre for Lehman Bros, so guess what happened to me today.....
Creativity has definately gone out the window now.

OH, Wow! I know what you mean... My brother works for Verizon and his team handles their communication setup, networks, etc. Guess that project gets put on hold for now. But there are other projects in the pipe, so his team is being kept busy with those.
Like I said, create some along the lines of the past event but make it absurd. I was thinking in terms of a character with a building for a head in business suit, throwing out a wash basin not water but of people... or something silly along that line.

Reached a bit of a burn out of ideas, the dreaded blank page syndrome, so asking you guys (and gals) again for some inspiration.
Anyone got any sketches/ideas for spaceships or similar they would share,
so i can have a go at modelling them and kickstarting the old grey matter.
Thanking you all in advance
Richard.
