Ok, I finally get to post my contradiction! I have been waiting as I know of only one place that this sign exists. I finally got to take the image yesterday. I find this to be way contradictory. I for the life of me can not understand what was on their mind when they put this up. Hope you enjoy!

As to my image above, we had just come out of a construction zone that had a speed of 55 for thirty or so miles. Then the "legal speed" was 70 after that. I thought you might like to know the story behind this.

Well you can see clearly on that pic through the orientation of the "tongs" shoes :
my kids ( more than kids ...!) ran into home
while I ran to assure that plants and all the terrace were well and came back leaving
my shoes "in starting block" for the day after ...

Hope you understand my french english ...lol !!

I took this one when we were on vacation last month. I was cracking up at all the arrows pointing in every direction and told my husband how contradictory it appeared... lol. (Not the best of photos, through the windshield and on the move and time for one shot only. Had to take it though.)

good heavens! LOL! I've looked for a similar thing here... I've seen it before but it happens so much I can't remember where I was when I spotted it but they will have a hair-pin turn on a mountain road that has a sign that says Speed Limit 20 and then 20 feet further is a sign that says Speed Limit 55. Sort of makes you wonder what the planning department was thinking...

Maybe it wasn't a contradiction when they were built, but today there is No Smoking on any train in the UK. This was taken at the National Railway Museum, York. UK.

This is my first post here on the Forum Challenge, "Contradictions" really gets you thinking.

I saw this on the way home on Friday afternoon. The traffic suddenly came to a standstill and one direction had been blocked off and another street opposite had also been taped up by the police. A wedding car had gone right through a wall !
Not the best picture but I have called this " THE WEDDING DAY, THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE !

Actually, for some, this may not be a contradition at all. Seems like my first wedding was a train wreck from the "I DO" and it was all downhill from there. LOL. Great shot. There is a nice hole in the view over to the hole in the wall. :-) Now if that groom will just learn to listen to his bride's directions ("I said, turn LEFT at the stop sign!!!) and stop being so stubborn, this may never happen again to them.

Well I am a bit late but this one was easy for me. On my nature walk is this section of a broken fence laying on the ground. This tiny daisy managed to find its way thru the pieces. This is my first forum challenge, I sure enjoyed viewing all the works!
