Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.
New users are encouraged to read the FAQ sections here and on the Poser forum before asking questions.
In your Poser folder, is there a folder called "Runtime"? Look in there for "textures". Put texture files (JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP) there (or in subfolders). Now in Poser, select the figure or prop you want to apply the new texture to. Use command-U(Mac)/control_U(Windows) to get the Materials dialog (or choose it from the menu). Choose the figure/prop and material you want to texture from the pop-up menus. Unless there are other instructions, make the texture color pure white (the one on the left). Then use the "Load" button to find your new texture.
