Subject: New Job

Ok, it's been a while since I've done anything on here, and it's going to be longer before I can.  Been really busy with the job hunting thing and interviews, on top of working a weird schedule.  12-9 p.m. with tuesdays and fridays off.

But, I did get lucky and land a new job with a company called American Eurocopter.  Well, to be honest, I think getting the interview was the luckiest part, since I used to work for the guy who interviewed me when I was in the Marines as an avionics technician.  Easiest interview I've ever had.  Didn't have to talk about what I knew how to do, since he knows exactly what I can do.

I'm going to be moving Tomorrow to their Mississippi location, and got even luckier, since I'm from that area.  But I'll be starting on Monday, and leaving for Germany for training on the 31st.  Not sure where in Germany, but I think I'll be going to Koblensk.  But, as for where, I don't really care, I've always liked Europe, and the beer.

Congrats on your new job with the "sling wing" brigade! Any idea what you'll be working on?

Thank you to everybody.  As for what I'll be working on, I'll only be building wiring bundles to be installed in helicopters.  Easy enough work, espicially since all of my military experience counted to get me a senior technician level.  That's twice what I've been able to make as a civillian so far.

I don't know why, but Koblensk sounds like it's in Russia...;) but hey, I've never been closer to Germany than Versailles...;)

Only wiring bundles I get to play with are mis-cabled network comm rooms...;) Congrats.

Well, now I'm not too sure where, possibly in Donauwörth, which is in Bavaria, or in Munich.  And sorry about the mispelling, I believe it is Koblenz....?  After more thought, and almost killing myself while changing the brakes on my car today, I'm not sure.  But it doesn't matter too much though, I'm going on someone elses dime, so I can't be too picky.  But I think it would be Munich though, makes more sense that they would place their training facility in a major city.
