Hmmmm , got mine in today, shipped on Monday so not going for the same day delivery for $70 more was the right decision. Have mixed feelings about a few things, the options are OK, plants imported and installed new OK. Poser import NO GO even after reinstalling both Vue & Poser in the default, should be able to get that fixed I hope. Major bummer is the interface, lightgray on pale blue , they must have lost their little minds up there, I threw away the copy of Bryce 4 I won and only put up with Poser's interface because the owner gets upset if I do the same with that proggy. If I want to squint at the screen to recognize the buttons I take of my glasses. Doubt if V4 is long for this system, despite it's possibilities.

Sorry to hear about the interface difficulty, Hein. Is it looking like the preview screenshots? For the Poser import, try e-mailing E-on's tech support. Some others are having problems with that, too, but it seems dependant on individual machines, so you need to let them know just what it's doing on yours. Wishing you luck with it! :) Varian

  1. Talk to E-On support. I had problems with Poser import but they were able to fix it. 2. Interface. Color scheme aside, the only real differences between the Vue3 and Vue4 interfaces are the additions of "OK", "Cancel" "Save" and "Load" icons along the righthand column of each window, and a completely redone terrain editor. Other than that, everything's pretty much in the same place as it was in Vue3. I can understand your feeling about the look of Vue4. I commented earlier that it looks more Mac and less PC, but it still functions like PC. Personally, I WOULD like to have more contrast between light and dark in the program functions, but I wouldn't base whether or not to use the program on that minor complaint. -SMT

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

Same here I would have prefered more contrasts in the interface...I have a hard time in some places and being somewhat colorblind doesn't help the cause hehe. Cheers!

I like the new interface, but like you others, I also feel that a bit more contrast would not have hurt. Cheers

Has anyone tried changing the Windows color scheme and see how it affects the Vue interface colors? Maybe it's customizeable via that route?

I'd already contacted support on the Poser issue, simply because it an advertised option that should work, I never had any problems transfering Poser stuff to Vue, textures-bumps, just a matter of thinking right or wrong if you look from the Poser side. The interface isn't a minor gripe imho, it's the only way to get at the program and if that's no good the usability of the program is impaired. On the other hand there are people who buy programs like Windowblinds so they can put a skin on Windows , come to think of it that may actually be a way to unmess this interface :)

I agree about the interfaces, I tried many high end softwaes and I didn't care if it was awesome...if the interface is not friendly it doesn't attract me. I really like the Mac look on this one but it has room for improvements. Although, it's a lot more intuitive than Maya! :) Cheers!

Unless it is a feature of the easter egg Lynn mentioned, then you can have the Vue interface any colour, as long as it is blue Varian ;). I'm happy...I can live with it :) Cheers
