One thing the net isn't short of is free fonts. Any Truetype or Opentype font will be fine in CS3. Just Google for 'free fonts'.
Here's one to get started with: http://simplythebest.net/fonts/. They've got a number of handwriting fonts.

You don't need to put them in CS3, just unzip them in **Windows/font**, you may need to restart photoshop for them to show up though.Dafont is another site with loads of fonts...

While we're about it, a couple of font utilities I find very useful are:
Font Xplorer - lets you see what fonts you've got installed (or not installed but in separate directories) and load and unload them. Freeware.
Extensis Suitcase - professional font manager, allows you to load and unload fonts on the fly, plus a lot more. Not cheap ($99) but very useful.

To install fonts so they are easily found in any app I generally:
1. create a font extract folder on my C Drive where I unzip any fonts I want to install.
Once
in a while I look around,
I see
a sound
and
try to write it down
Sometimes
they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

one font site i use a lot is:
dafont.com
you can look up fonts by catagories (...i.e. hand written) or alphabeticaly by name...

I get a lot of fonts from alt.binaries newsgroups. Not everyone is into newsgroups, but the thing is, you can request a font you want, or post a picture of a font you can't identify, and someone will usually come up with something close. Sadly, I'm a font freak, and have close to 2000 fonts installed. I also have a CD with close to 5000 fonts on it I picked up at the store a few years ago, and if I really need something I don't have, I can generally find something approximating.
