The M4 gens seem to be a new model, I haven't looked that closely.  There is a separate installer for the gens, I don't remember if that is included with the free base version or if it came with the Morphs++ package.

Genitals don't come with the base version.
For that matter, V4.2 base textures have no nipples or pubic hair, but M4 base textures do have pubes and nips. Go figure.

You know what really gets me. This company has for some months now, been telling us how the figure was pushed back so they could fix "bugs".

Then once it's released, you get it and the installers don't work right, textures don't work right (Ie seams show through) and the figure is anatomically incorrect.

All of wich are "bugs" wich should have been at the very top of the list of things to be fixed. I mean seriously how can something like those issues get past testing?

Call me ungrateful but if this were a car, it would be recalled as defective.

There's nothing wrong with the installers. If you're having trouble figuring out how to install M4, there is a page at DAZ that will explain how to properly install him in either Poser or DAZ Studio. I'm assuming you're using Poser, try reducing the min shading to 0.1. The textures are rendering just fine for me. I don't have any seams showing. The genitals are in the Morphs++ Pack and they appear anatomically correct to me.

All of which are not bugs, there's nothing to fix, the first two appear to be user error, and the third, as I said are in the Morphs++ Pack, they don't come with the base model.

You mean how they sometimes render as a solid black thick unibrow reminiscent of a Snow Crash Brandy's eyebrows?

I thought that was just me trying to use the cheap (read, free) low-rez skin that comes with the base with AO on and underlighting.

Yes, and that crap is starting to get on my nerves, I do not own a super computer, bad enough people are making these textures 4000x4000 which unless you are trying to show pore detail in a portrait are of absolutely NO use.  load m4, put on clothes that has 6 pieces, try to render and forget it, its gonna take 9 hours, if it even gets that far without choking and dying. 

Even worse is when you try to import something with huge textures into something else - every time I try to import Poser into Vue, I drop to 20-25% resources on a quad-core w/3GB.  That's with one V4.2 fig.

Maybe character vendors can include a low-rez version of skins for non-close ups too?

Same here, I cannot use poser stuff with vue period. I've basically given up.  I wont buy stuff sometimes from specific vendors because I know I am going to have to open up every stinking file in ps and resize them all, move the originals, etc, etc.  its a pain.  I rarely do portraits, but I guess that seems to be the trend and the big hot item now a days.
