Hello

My English is not good. I hope you understand my words.

Yesterday, I bought Michael 4 and Michael 4 morphs+++ -> M4 base was free !!!
I am very satisfied with it because is the best male figure I ever saw. I allways enjoy a lot DAZ figures.
I am currently working on a male character for Victoria 4 and I would like to slowly start working on a character for Michael 4. I allways like to make a study of the figure before start working on a character for it.
I use Poser 7 (not the most recent Poser version) and I am having a problem in the eyebrow group of Michael 4. Some face morphs do not change the default eyebrow group shape and other morphs do not change it correctly.
I like to use textures on this group because it makes possible to change the eyebrows color more easily.
I would like to know if anyone is having this problem. If it´s something wrong with Poser 7 or something that I miss on the installation of Michael 4.

I attached an image to let you know the problem I am having in Poser 7.

You're not the only ones. I also discovered this unusual problem with michael 4... seems  the new layout requires a new UV mapping in the facial area.

Have the same problem, picked up the Michael 4 Pro Bundle, with Beck.  At least there is a HIDE BROW option in the MICHAEL4 pose folder from that package.

I expect that it is just that the morphs for the eyebrow part are not very well done, or perhaps the morph dials for the head are not correctly linked to the morph dials on the Eyebrow bodypart, or maybe there ARE no morphs that match the ones you're looking at, I haven't looked at it that closely.  Ideally, dialing up a morph on the head SHOULD make the same morph dial up on the Eyebrow also (I'm sure you understand this at least as well as I do).

Seeing how long it takes DAZ to fix things like this, you may be stuck with this for some time, possibly forever.

edit: although I suppose you could fix it yourself, but maybe that isn't a good answer to you as a content creator...

I should note that you don't actually HAVE to use the Eyebrow geometry to get nearly the same effect, you can use Blender nodes and mix a hair mask on top of the face skin texture - you can even mix it into the bump map and give it different specularity if you want to.  I did this with the Bargash V4 character that jjroland and I built.

Hello

Thank you very for all your answers and opinions. For the time being, I just will try to find a solution without using textures on the eyebrows group.

M4 is a excellent figure. I made a render with him today.

Render in Poser 7, no postwork.

can you simply turn them off and be done with them? when I loaded beck, he had eyebrows... right? I guess Im just a bit lost on their purpose?  Im not a big mat room kind of person, it confuses me with all the bells and whistles.

I don't know that texture so I couldn't say.  Normally, the Eyebrow geometry does not display, so basically if you don't see it in your renders then you can forget it's there.  It is a nice concept but imo not all that amazingly useful if you're willing to mix stuff up with Blender nodes.

well, dont have many other textures to fiddle with, so basically will just have to wait and see. ;)

If the eyebrow part just needs to come out a little bit, try using displacement. You don't need a displacement map. Just connect a Math node to the displacement channel. Then dial in how much in the math node. For example, to make a tenth of an inch, put in .1.

Don't forget to enable displacement in render options.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
