i use poser pro on two pcs one has xp (my main pc also used for gaming ) and a quad core machine riunning vista with sp 1usually i create the image on the xp machine and send the save to the vista machine to render the image so that ican play on line using the xp machine .Last night because my daughter was using my xp machine i started to create an image from scratch in vista the problem ia m getting that any of the dialogue boxes that require a click ok  cause the program to lockup eg conform to box highlight say victoria 4 click ok program locks up . iha v e put service pack in and tried reinstalling but still the same .is this just a problem with vista is there a workaround ? have no problems in xp but like to free up that machine as it is bar far my better gaming machine any insights would be much appreciated

In the machine with Vista you have disable User Account?

yes i have. I had vue 6 render cow set to start up with vista and avg turned off both of these before starting poser and problem seems to have gopne a way ............for the moment at least .Does user account have any negative effect on poser then?

Yes UAC from problems with POSER, disable this and it tries.
