Subject: Can I transfer magnet morphs from one figure to another?

cujoe_da_man ( ) posted Wed, 05 November 2008 at 4:52 PM · edited Tue, 24 December 2024 at 10:43 AM

Basically I have this:

A shirt that has magnets to modify it, then set with morph targets so I can delete the magnets.  Basic Poser morphing.

Now, for the same figure, I want to apply a new shirt to her and want to know if there is a way to take the morphs from the first shirt and apply them to the new shirt?  Or is this wishful thinking?

If you saved the magnet set - then yes
theres no way to transfer the morph because the vertex count will likely be wrong.

You could try Dimension3D's morphing clothes.

yeah, I had already removed the magnets which is why I asked if it was possible, it was a last minute request of the person.

Where can I find that program you're referring to?

In the store here,  this app as I understand it works by comparing the topology (uses the closest vertice points) of the target and source and transfers morphs between the two, and that way doesn't rely on exact vertice counts. Works great for me so far. I would post a link but am not sure if that would be "comercial" But it's in the store here Dimension3D's stuff.
