Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 13 6:58 am)
unless (like me) DAZ won't work reliably on your 'puter (and I hate the interface with a passion)
I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to use posemagic. I assume you are creating the pose etc then saving the pz3 file and importing that into Vue ?
Do you have "use external binary morphs" turned off in Poser ?

But Frank, that is the fun...DS is the bitch you can make do whatever you want it to do. The best part of it is to be able to change the interface to do wucha want with it.
I couldnt ask for a better program myself...honestly guys.

I'm just wondering if PoserMatic is doing something funky with the pose file which is causing the problem. I must admit I don't have it so I dunno if I can be of much more help. I know the external binary morphs causes all sorts of problems with Vue though

Try saving the posed figure with his clothes on properly, to your figures library. create a new scene, bring him back in and resave the PZ3 then try and import that into vue.

I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Hi all, just checking in here to follow the progress. I don't have Vue and cannot (thus) determine what the problem might be.
Here's my theory though...Pose Magic is a ghost prop, and some importers (it seems) don't understand them and discard them.
That's not the case here, obviously, since the figure remains posed but the clothes do not.
Frank, if you have the time, email me at gboycott1@comcast.net and I will send you a copy of PoseMagic and you can see if you get similar results?

Can you post the exact steps you go through when you save/import ? that might help give a clue. It definitely works ok for me. The Poser importer is the same between infinite and Pro studio so far as I know so something is going weird somewhere along the line

Well, that's good news. I'm not at work so I can't go through the
export again until Monday morning, but will do so when I get in.
Like you say, there must be something else going on.
Thanks for trying it out FrankT and thanks William_the_Bloody for your help, too.
I'll get back with you all on Monday.

Does Vue 7 open Daz Studio scenes?

As an update to my problem with PoseMagic, I tried a different character and even a different version of the same character and it imported into Vue just fine, clothing intact, no problems.
However, when I tried the character I was having a problem with, I still had the same problem.
Not sure what it is, but it's not worth my time to figure out right now since I have other versions that work.
Thanks for your replies and help.

Then I imported to Vue 6 Pro Studio and low and behold... this jacket is ripped off him.
The pose is as I set it in Poser, but the clothes got all distorted.
Is there a problem using Pose Magic posed figures in Vue?
Attached is what happened when imported into Vue.
