I am using HDRI light set with AO, Firefly engine, texture filtering off, Poser Pro.

Note the stripes on the inner arm.  The may be reflection of the material on the shirt, but I can't be certain, and I definitely don't know why Firefly gives this result.

I don't get the stripes on his inner arm if I use the P4 render engine.

Select your Lights, go to the Properties and lower the Shadow Min Bias to around 2.2 and try with that.

Its the responsable for most of the shadow artifacts you get when using Raytracing. Poser 4 render engine doenst have Raytrace.

What Poser version? I notice you seem to have the "polygon boundary" bug on his shirt, which occurs when you apply bump or displacement - the arm stripes might be related to that. It was fixed in P7 SR3, if I remember right.

All - thanks for responses and suggestions.  Am using Poser Pro, EnglishBob.

I checked the lights after re-starting my PC.  Good grief, I swear Poser Pro has a terrible memory management problem !  I ran a fresh render of the re-loaded scene, no changes from the last time I rendered.  Totally different results !!  What in the world....

Firefly render shoes this result now.
