Subject: Daz Studio Poser Exporter -> Vue?

impish ( ) posted Tue, 11 November 2008 at 6:20 AM · edited Sat, 28 December 2024 at 5:19 AM

Another thread just reminded me that Daz had a Poser Format Exporter for Daz Studio available.  I don't have Daz studio installed on my system at the moment so I was wondering if anyone with it (and Poser) had exported poses using this then taken them to Poser and on to Vue succesfully?

I can try it myself easily enough but if someone else already had... well I'm lazy ;-)

Apparently, the poser exporter doesn't export a full scene but only pose, face and hand that you can apply later on a scene in Poser. I tried to export from daz studio using the collada format and it imported very nicely in Xstream 7 (I know, it doesn't really answer your question though :) )

Thanks.  I'll have to give the Collada import a go.  I've been using Poser for a long time but sometimes I just get fed up with its wacky interface.

just export as .obj convert mats for Bryce in options and voila..it is leaps and bound better than Poser import..and far less of a chunk of memory. and Vue ALWAYS find your mats(; weell 98% of the time anyway:D
